Caitlin Long, Chairman and President, Symbiont

Caitlin Long is chairman and president of Symbiont, the market-leading smart contracts platform for institutional uses of distributed ledger technology and winner of WatersTechnology's Award for Best Distributed Ledger Project in 2016 (Buy-Side Technology Awards).  Caitlin previously spent 22 years on Wall Street as a managing director in senior roles, working for Morgan Stanley (2007-2016), Credit Suisse (1997-2007) and Salomon Brothers (1994-1997).  Caitlin has been active in bitcoin since 2012 and blockchains since 2014, and she served on Morgan Stanley's internal blockchain working group in 2014-16.  MarketsMedia awarded Caitlin its 2016 Women in Finance Award for Excellence in Blockchain, and Institutional Investor named Caitlin to its list of the most influential people in pensions during her final 3 years on Wall Street.  She is a graduate of Harvard Law School (JD, 1994), the Kennedy School of Government (MPP, 1994) and the University of Wyoming (BA, 1990).

Jeffrey Anderson, Derivatives Compliance Product Manager, Fidessa

Based in Chicago, Jeff is responsible for compliance and product management within Fidessa's derivatives business. He joined the company at the beginning of 2017, bringing to the role his substantial experience in managing a range of regulatory issues affecting the listed derivatives markets. Jeff joined Fidessa from RBS Securities where he worked for 3 years as Director, Markets Advisory, for Corporate and Institutional Banking, responsible for advisory compliance coverage for the bank's US futures trading and clearing business. Prior to that, Jeff worked in the Department of Market Regulation at CME Group for more than 14 years, latterly as Senior Enforcement Counsel. While at CME, Jeff was involved in investigating trade practice issues and prosecuting CME Group rule violations. Before joining the CME, Jeff spent 6 years as an attorney in private practice in Chicago, having obtained a J.D. from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis and a B.A. from Duke University.

Scott Atwell is the Manager of FIX Trading and Connectivity for American Century Investments, a leading investment manager committed to delivering superior investment performance and building long-term client relationships since 1958. Serving investment professionals, institutions, corporations and individual investors, American Century Investments offers a broad array of products across a variety of investment disciplines. Craig Callahan, Vice President, Information Security Technology, Goldman Sachs

Craig is head of the Security Advisory and Consulting team in the technology division.  In this role he is responsible for the Infrastructure, Application, and Mobile security consulting practices.  Craig joined Goldman Sachs in 2013 as a Vice President and was named Technology Fellow in 2016.  Prior to joining the firm Craig was Director of Security Engineering and Architecture at a broker dealer firm.

Craig attended the University at Buffalo where he studied Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Felix Candelario is a Global Accounts Solutions Architect for Financial Services at AWS and is based in New York City. In this role, he is responsible for helping global Financial Services companies architect secure, efficient, high-performance, scalable applications for the cloud. He has specific focus on encryption, security, monitoring, and networking. Felix has over 16 years of experience, with the vast majority of his career spent at Wall Street firms building and optimizing high performance infrastructures for capital markets. He also brings expertise in infrastructure, networking and application interactions, and computer organization to streamline large scale systems that support front office and business critical functions. Before his current role, Felix was a Senior Technical Account Manager at AWS and helped enterprises operate their AWS environments efficiently. He is an AWS Certified Solutions Architect at the Professional Level.

  Tom Conigliaro, Managing Director, IHS Markit Brokerage and Research Service 

Mr. Tom Conigliaro is Managing Director of IHS Markit Brokerage and Research Services. As head of Brokerage and Research Services group, Mr. Conigliaro has responsibility for IHS Markit’s Payments, Evaluation, Interactions and HUB offerings. He is regularly cited in the press on regulatory developments around research evaluation and payment. Prior to joining the firm in 2013, Mr. Conigliaro worked at investment banking boutique Marlin & Associates where he advised clients on their M&A activities in financial technology, information services, healthcare and media. He has over 25 years’ experience on Wall Street, holding senior roles in sales and trading, sales management and securities services at Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch. Mr. Conigliaro holds an MBA from the University of South Florida and a BS from Widener University. He also holds the CFA designation.

  Hubert Deroubaix, Business Development Director, EU Regulatory Products, ICE Data Services

Hubert Deroubaix is Business Development Director, EU Regulatory Products. He is responsible for developing and commercialising ICE Data Services’ regulatory content offerings in EMEA. Prior to this Hubert’s roles have included managing both content management and strategic partnerships within Data Collection. Hubert joined the company in 2000 from the former Thomson Financial. Prior to that, he undertook a number of management roles within Deutsche Bank’s global custody operations in London. Hubert’s work with both providers and users of financial information has given him a wide understanding of the financial markets and their participants.


Benjamin Grizzle, Managing Director, Multi-Asset Platform, Goldman Sachs

Ben Grizzle leads the macro pod of the MultiAsset Platform Sales (MAPS) team, an initiative of the US Securities Division. He was a summer analyst at Goldman Sachs in 2002 and joined the firm full time as a Foreign Exchange (FX) trader in New York in 2003. Ben subsequently transferred to FX sales and moved to London in 2007 to help with the rollout of the firm’s FX electronic trading platforms. Since 2011, he was responsible for managing the Macro Cross-Asset Sales team in Europe. Ben returned to the US in 2015 with the launch of the MAPS team. He was named managing director in 2013. Ben graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College with a BA in American History and Literature

Maged Hassan, Global Head of Fixed Income & Commodities Electronic Trading Technology, Morgan Stanley

Maged Hassan is the Global Head of Fixed Income & Commodities Electronic Trading Technology at Morgan Stanley. In his role, Mr. Hassan oversees electronic trading technology strategy and technology build-out across principal and agency execution for FID. Across the industry, he has been focused on standardizing the Fixed Income Electronic Trading platform across asset classes by revamping the internal platforms, as well as leveraging the equities stack to achieve cost efficiencies and scalability. In addition, he serves as Morgan Stanley’s representative for Fixed Income Connectivity Working Group (FICWG). He joined Morgan Stanley in 2011 from Barclays Capital.

 Previously, Mr. Hassan was at Lehman Brothers, where he managed various technology builds for Trading and Electronic Trading across the Fixed Income Technology division. He was part of the leadership team for integrating Lehman’s technology stack into the Barclays technology offering as part of the Lehman acquisition. In addition, He was responsible for driving the Dodd-Frank Credit agenda at Barclays as well as their overall client offering and BARX.

 Mr. Hassan began his career at a .com startup in Canada, where he led the development of an artificial intelligence internet offering. Mr. Hassan is a graduate of the University of Waterloo in Canada where he received a degree in Mathematics with software engineering specialization.

  Tom Jordan, President and CEO, Jordan & Jordan

Tom Jordan is President and CEO, founded Jordan & Jordan in 1990. From 1985-1990, he was the Managing Director of Knight-Ridder Financial/Americas. Prior to this, he was the Chairman of Monchik-Weber, a Wall Street consulting and product development firm. He also held development and marketing positions at IBM. Tom was a co-founder of the Financial Information Forum (FIF) and the initial Chair of FISD. Prior to his business career, Tom served as an officer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in the 1st Cavalry Division and the 1st Infantry Division.

Tom actively participates in many industry initiatives. He is the Advisory Chair of the Financial Information Forum, FIX Trading Community Program Office, and a member of the advisory committee of the Consolidated Tape Association (CTA) and the Unlisted Trading Privileges (UTP) plan. He was recognized by FISD with their Market Data Lifetime Achievement Award. Tom holds a BS degree in Mathematics from Saint Peter's College and a MS in Industrial Administration from Union College in Schenectady, NY. He is a member of the Board of the Knights of St. Patrick.

  Emiko Kamoda, Managing Director, COO Global Equities Execution Services, Goldman Sachs

Emiko is the chief operations officer for Global Equities Execution Services, where she manages business metrics, client connectivity and onboarding globally. In her previous role, she oversaw strategic equities initiatives related to the electronic trading business.

Prior to that, Emiko led the development of algorithmic trading products in the Americas and has also worked as a sales trader in Electronic Trading. Emiko joined Goldman Sachs in 2000 as an associate in the Equities Division and was named managing director in 2015. Prior to joining the firm, she was a senior manager at Arthur Andersen LLP in the Financial Industry Group.

Emiko earned an MBA, magna cum laude, in Finance from Columbia Business School in 1999. She is a CFA charterholder and a certified public accountant.

Brian Lees, Co-Chair Global Buy-side Working Group, FIX Trading Community, AVP, Manager, Equity Trading Product Owner, Capital Group

Brian Lees currently manages Capital Group’s proprietary equity order management system. He played a central role in the development of the firm’s first FIX implementation in 1999 and has been closely involved with the application of FIX in the equities space for 20 years. He has been an active participant in the Americas Buy-side Working Group since its inception, serves as co-chair of the Global Buy-side Working Group and is currently engaged in efforts to apply FIX in preparation for MiFID II.

 Martin Liutermoza, Global Head of Information Security Engineering and Operations, Nasdaq

Martin is an expert technologist with over 25 years of experience in technology including network engineering, information security, internal audit and technology management.  Martin began work as a technologist in the mid-range computing segment and then expanded into Internet, client server and network technologies. He co-founded a privately Internet Service Provider and later joined Alcatel where he led in the design and implementation of various computing environments and data centers.  Securing systems and networks became Martin's focus and passion and he decided to join Nasdaq in 2003 as the lead Information Security Engineer. While at Nasdaq, Martin also performed work in the Information Technology Audit team as Auditor Director where he led control reviews of the information security posture of Nasdaq owned companies.  Martin’s current role is that of the Global Head of Information Security Engineering and Global Security Operations Center at Nasdaq. He holds a number of prominent industry certifications including CCNP, CCDP, MCSE, MCDBA, CISSP, CISA and CRISK.


Frank Loughlin, Global Co-Head of Equity Trading, AllianceBernstein

Frank Loughlin was named Global Co-Head of Equity Trading at AllianceBernstein in 2014.  Previously, he was responsible for running EMEA equity trading.  Loughlin joined the firm in 1990 and in his AB career has led or co-led various trading desks, including the US, Americas and EMEA equity desks.  He holds a BA in psychology from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA in in finance from the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University.  Loughlin is a CFA charterholder and a member of both the CFA Institute and the New York Society of Security Analysts.

Courtney Doyle McGuinn, Operations Director, FIX Trading Community

Courtney Doyle McGuinn is the Operations Director of FIX Trading Community. Courtney has been a dedicated FIX resource for 15 years providing continued support and significant leadership and has leveraged her unique understanding of FIX’s operational and strategic needs to ensure the continual growth of the FIX organization and the FIX Protocol. As part of her role, Courtney manages all resources and service providers to ensure the highest quality service and value for FIX and its global membership, oversees the organization’s relationship with distinct counsel to ensure long term protection of the FIX Protocol, ensures spending within FIX is maintained within budget,  interfaces with other organization in which FIX has strategic relationships, facilitates numerous initiatives within FIX specifically around risk management, buy-side needs and new regulations among other things.  Courtney has previously authored numerous articles about the FIX Protocol and has represented FIX as a speaker in numerous events.

Prior to this role, Courtney was involved in various engagements for Jordan & Jordan which have included conducting comprehensive market research to uncover opportunities in the financial marketplace and assisting in the selection of suitable technology solutions. She was also a lead trainer during a nationwide rollout of a market data application, demonstrating it’s capabilities and assisting new users on the system.  As a member of a development team, Courtney assisted in creating a service web site providing clients with market data information.  Courtney holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers College.



Kevin O’Connor, Managing Director, Global Head of Product Management, ITG Analytics

Mr. O’Connor has been with ITG for more than 11 years and is currently responsible for ITG’s Analytics Products globally.  Prior to joining ITG, Mr. O’Connor was a consultant focusing on Financial Services technology.  Prior to that, Mr. O’Connor worked in fixed income for Deutsche Bank and GE Asset Management. He holds a B.A. in Economics and Computer Science from Colgate University.

Thiago Jose Pavesi, Technical Product Manager, Transaction Network Services 

Thiago Jose Pavesi (TJ) joined Transaction Network Services (TNS) in 2016, taking on the position of Technical Product Manager for its Financial Services Division.

Based at the organization’s City of London office, TJ is responsible for driving new product innovation and enhancing TNS’ existing product portfolio with relevant and value-added new features. He works closely with TNS’ Sales, Sales Engineering, Operations and Marketing teams across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific region to ensure TNS’ solutions continue to exceed customer expectations.

TJ brings a wealth of experience to TNS having spent more than a decade working within the financial markets industry. Prior to joining TNS and relocating to London, TJ was Global Head of Electronic Trading for Brazilian firm XP INVESTIMENTOS and before that was Head of Electronic and Algorithmic Trading at CM Capital Markets. He has also spent time with Itau Asset Management, ICAP, Arkhe DTVM, and Symnetics.

During his career, TJ has helped the financial industry to develop mature electronic trading solutions and created standards for electronic trading departments to adhere to. He has worked on both the buy-side and sell-side, giving him a comprehensive understanding of the full trading life cycle. Using his market expertise in IT security, networks and programming, TJ has supported the FIX Protocol and development of the electronic trading community in countries like Brazil, the USA and now Europe.

When not at TNS, TJ enjoys supporting the environment by developing and maintaining algorithms on hydroponic systems using the Internet of Things as a base technology.

  George Rosenberger, Senior Vice President of Global Managed Services, Itiviti

George is the SVP of Global Managed Services at Itiviti; the new leading technology & solutions provider for the capital markets industry created by uniting Orc Group; the leader in trading and electronic execution & CameronTec Group; the global standard in financial messaging infrastructure and connectivity.

Prior to CameronTec, George worked as a Managing Director at Convergex, an Agency Broker Dealer, where he was responsible for the Trading Services Division which included Global Trade Support, Global Connectivity, Vendor/Exchange/Broker Relations as well as the CONNEX Managed Services business, which he founded while there.

George holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Towson University. He is also registered with the Securities Traders Association and holds a Series 7 (Registered Representation) license.

  Brian Ross, CEO, FIX Flyer

Brian Ross is an industry leader in multi-asset trading and messaging systems with over 20 years of experience leading Wall Street software firms.   Brian is a frequent speaker at industry events and content contributor for industry publications.

After graduating from the University of Oregon, Brian began an engineering career at NASA where he led development of mission critical software and systems for the Galileo, Voyager and Hubble space missions, receiving three NASA accommodations for his leadership in developing engineering systems.

In 1995 Brian then took his engineering skills to Wall Street where he joined Blackrock working on early versions of Aladdin.

In 1999 Brian was appointed Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer of Trepp LLC, a provider of fixed income pricing and analytics.  Under his leadership, Trepp grew into the leading provider of CMBS pricing, analytics and modeling technology to the broker and investment management community.

Brian has graduate degrees in management and computer science from the Claremont Graduate School and Johns Hopkins University, and also completed graduate studies in mathematics from the Courant Institute at New York University.

  Joyce Shen, Global Director, Emerging Technologies, Thomson Reuters

As the global director of emerging technologies, Joyce built and leads the enterprise emerging tech group (research, partnerships, ecosystem) as well as the Emerging Tech Venture fund.  She also leads enterprise efforts on blockchain and digital identity at Thomson Reuters.  She is a regular speaker on emerging technologies, new product development, and innovation.

Outside of Thomson Reuters, Joyce teaches data science at UC Berkeley. And she serves on the boards of various startups, the e-Residency program, Tech 2025, is a mentor at various accelerators, and an angel investor. She also founded Tech China Post and YouCollective.

Joyce was previously the founding executive member and the first CFO of Cloud Platform at IBM, responsible for launching the Bluemix cloud platform and the Bluemix Garage. Joyce also spent several years at IBM Corporate Development, leading numerous acquisitions and divestitures. 

Joyce received her undergraduate and masters degrees from the University of Chicago.

Harps Sidhu, Partner, Head of Capital Markets Consulting, KPMG

Harps is the UK client lead partner for a tier 1 US bank and has 15 years of experience in Big 4 professional services. He is the KPMG global lead for MiFID II and has led multiple impact assessments across buy and sell side firms, and currently oversees all our engagements.  Harps has worked across Front Office, Finance, Risk, Operations, Compliance and Technology and all major asset classes across end-to-end trading processes, including Equities, Prime Services, Fixed Income, Listed Derivatives, Credit, FX and Commodities.  He has also worked with his clients as they reconsider their businesses in the face of a rapidly changing regulatory environment, and its effect on strategy, booking model, governance, operating models, capital/liquidity/funding, operational efficiency/flexibility, and change

Harps was the global Client Lead Partner for one of the largest global banking Risk, Finance and Treasury transformations to date for a top 5 balance sheet universal bank Corporate and Investment Bank, Wealth, Retail Banking and Cards. He led the implementation of a Front Office Risk platform for a multi-billion dollar P&L global trading business for a top 5 global investment bank. This included full T0 risk and P&L attribution and all downstream feeds.  He has also worked closely over the years with Barclays IB, Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America/Merrill Lynch and RBS, amongst others.

Harps has his BSc (Hons) Economics, University College London, a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and Executive MBA, London Business School.


Arnaud Vaidie, Director of Product Management, Americas, Ullink

Arnaud Vaidie is the Product Management Director for the Americas at Ullink. After 10 years of Product Development and Product management experience in various industries, he joined Ullink in 2012 and managed product lines across Pre-trade Risk Management, Middle Office and high touch solutions.  Leading the Ullink US Product Strategy for the last year, he has a strong knowledge and solid experience in delivering connectivity and trading solutions to top tier buy side and sell side.  

Arnaud Vaidie is the Product Management Director for the Americas at Ullink.
