FIX Trading Community™ activities span a wide range of technical capabilities and disciplines impacting every aspect of electronic trading and the trade life-cycle. This is the place to find the specifications, recommended implementation guidelines, information, tools and other resources to help you effectively understand and use the various standards, protocols and tools.


Family of Standards

FIX Protocol

The FIX Protocol Application Layer messaging specifications from Version 4.0 to 5.0 Service Pack 2 and associated SP2 Extension Packs. The functionality matrix summarising functional and asset class coverage by FIX® version is also available.

FAST Protocol

The standard for market data optimisation. FAST Protocol(SM) specifications, user guides, reference code and FAST Interoperability Portal.

FIXatdl Protocol

The FIX Protocol Application Layer messaging specifications from Version 4.0 to 5.0 Service Pack 2 and associated SP2 Extension Packs. The functionality matrix summarising functional and asset class coverage by FIX version is also available.


Tools

FIX Repository

The FIX Repository is a set of XML files for the FIX Protocol application layer messaging specification.

FIXwiki

The FIXwiki provides a wiki platform in which members can share their knowledge and implementation know-how of the FIX Protocol standard. You must be a member in order to obtain a login to edit the FIXwiki.

FIXimate

FIXimate3.0 is the web-based view of the FIX Protocol component, message and data dictionary definitions, covering versions 4.0 to 5.0SP2. A link is also provided to the FIXimate for the latest available Extension Pack (EP).

Technical Guidelines

Technical Guidelines are documents produced under the supervision of the Global Technical Committee which discuss specific technical topics

Semantic Guidelines

Semantic Guidelines are recommended practice documents that are produced to address specific implementation topics at the semantics or application level. These are produced by various committees or working groups, and reviewed by the Global Technical Committee and the FIX Community prior to official publication.

FIX and Regulations

Documents and press releases related to how the FIX Protocol is used to address regulatory requirements, including FIX Trading Community submitted comment letters to regulators.
